Privacy policy

Version 2026-10-02.2 · In force from 2 October 2026.

1. Who is the controller

Autoonomia Global S.A.S., NIT 902.117.928-5, Colombia. We handle anything about your data by email only: contacto@autoonomia.com.

This policy complies with Colombian Statutory Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 (compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015), and also covers what other laws require when we process data of people in other countries (section 9).

2. What data we process

  • Free trial and JMAX purchase: name, email, company (if you give it), the country you connect from, IP address, the email verification code and the date, time and exact text of the authorisation you accepted.
  • Licences: the identifier of the computer (MAC) where you activate JMAX, the installed version and the licence checks.
  • Payments: the data PayPal returns to us (payer name, email and country, payment reference). We never see or store your card.
  • Support: what you write in a ticket or to the help assistant.

We do not process sensitive data or data of children. JMAX works on your own computer: what it processes there (your emails, documents or clients) does not reach our servers.

3. What we use it for

  • Creating and managing your trial or paid licence, verifying your email and sending you the activation key.
  • Sending you the notices about your trial and licence (start, expiry, renewal) and receipts.
  • Invoicing and keeping the accounts the law requires.
  • Answering your questions, claims and support requests.
  • Preventing fraud and abuse (one trial per person and per computer; origin of payments).
  • Only if you authorise it separately, sending you JMAX commercial news. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Your rights

As data subject you can (art. 8 of Law 1581 of 2012): know, update and correct your data; request proof of the authorisation you gave us; be informed of how we use it; file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce; revoke the authorisation or request deletion when the principles, rights and guarantees of the law are not respected; and access your data free of charge.

5. How to exercise them

Write to contacto@autoonomia.com with your name, the email you registered with, what you ask for and, for a claim, the facts and any documents. Requests are handled by Autoonomia Global Customer Care.

  • Queries: answered within 10 business days; if not possible, we tell you why and answer within 5 more business days (art. 14).
  • Claims (correct, update, delete or revoke): answered within 15 business days; if not possible, we tell you why and answer within 8 more business days (art. 15).

6. Where it is stored and who we share it with

Your data is stored on Contabo GmbH servers in France (European Union). The autoonomia.com site is hosted by Hostinger in the United States, but the trial and purchase forms send the data straight to the server in France. We use PayPal to take payments and our email provider to send emails; each processes the data only for that purpose. Autoonomia Global staff work from Colombia. We do not sell or hand over your data to third parties.

7. How long we keep it

Trial data, while the trial lasts and up to 12 months after it ends. Paid licence data, while the licence is active and for as long as accounting and tax rules require. The proof of your authorisation is kept while we process your data. You can ask for earlier deletion, except for what the law requires us to keep.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encryption at rest of licence tokens and payment data, daily backups, two-factor access to the admin panel and access logging.

9. If you are outside Colombia

The notice you see when requesting the trial depends on the country you connect from and names the law that protects you. In addition:

  • European Union, EEA, Switzerland and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR): the legal basis is the pre-contractual steps you request (art. 6(1)(b)) and, for commercial news, your consent (art. 6(1)(a)). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and to withdraw consent, and to complain to your supervisory authority. We answer within one month. As Autoonomia Global is in Colombia, a country without an adequacy decision, access from Colombia relies on your explicit consent (art. 49(1)(a)). We have not yet appointed an EU representative (art. 27) or a data protection officer; meanwhile, any query from the EU is handled at contacto@autoonomia.com. We do not make automated decisions or profile you.
  • Mexico: this policy is our Privacy Notice under the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties; you can exercise your ARCO rights and revoke consent at the email above.
  • Brazil (LGPD): you can confirm processing, access, correct, anonymise, block or delete, request portability and revoke consent; authority: ANPD.
  • Argentina (Law 25,326): access is free every six months. The Agency for Access to Public Information, supervisory body of Law 25,326, handles complaints.
  • Chile (Law 19,628), Peru (Law 29733) and Ecuador (LOPDP): you can exercise the rights those laws give you at the email above.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share personal information; you can know what data we hold, ask us to correct or delete it and not be discriminated against for doing so.

10. Changes and validity

This policy applies from its publication. If we change it, we publish the new version here with its date; the authorisation you accepted is kept with the version you read.
